Zone regulation

Speed

In zones B and C navigation is permitted, exclusively in displacement trim, at a speed not exceeding 5 knots, within a distance of 300 meters from the coast, and at a speed not exceeding 10 knots, within the strip of sea between 300 meters and 600 meters away from the coast.

Anchorage and mooring

In the areas indicated as “A” integral reserve navigation, anchoring and mooring are prohibited.

In the areas indicated as “B” general reserve, “C” partial reserve and “D” experimental reserve anchoring is allowed in the appropriate structures set up by the Managing Body or in stretches of water characterized by sandy bottoms, free from Posidonia oceanica, not prohibited for bathing purposes with determination of the RAS n. 817 of 10-05-2013.

Sport fishing

Throughout the A.M.P. free underwater fishing is prohibited.
In zone “A” integral reserve, professional and sport fishing by any means is prohibited.
In the “B” general reserve area, sport fishing can only be practiced if authorized by the manager (Municipality of Villasimius) and reserved for residents of the Municipality of Villasimius.
In areas “C” partial reserve and “D” experimental reserve, sport fishing can only be practiced if authorized by the managing body (Municipality of Villasimius) and regulated on the basis of the protection requirements of the A.M.P, to subjects equivalent to residents of the Municipality di Villasimius (see the requirements for requesting authorization in the forms section).

In sport fishing, the use of the following tools is prohibited: longlines, pots, scales, rezzaglio, the use of the spear with the aid of light sources.

Area specifications

Zone A: Integral Reserve – marked by yellow buoys

It is allowed:

• Access is allowed to the personnel of the managing body.
  Underwater guided tours.
  Rescue and surveillance activities.

The following are prohibited:

• Bathing.
  Professional, sport and underwater fishing.
  The transit of boats, boats and pleasure boats

Zone B: General Reserve

Zone A activities are allowed.
It is also allowed:

• Guided tours.
  Free scuba diving without breathing apparatus with prior authorization from the manager
  Professional fishing
  Sport fishing for residents only or equivalent to them
  The activity of whale – watching (observation of cetaceans)

The following are prohibited:

• Spearfishing.
  Free scuba diving with scuba
  The use of jet skis or jet skis and similar means, the practice of water skiing and similar water sports.

Zone C: Partial Reserve

Zone B activities are allowed.
It is also allowed:

• Access to pleasure boats.
  Professional fishing.
  Free scuba diving with and/or without scuba with prior authorization from the manager
  Sport fishing for residents or equivalent and non-residents
  Whale–watching activity (cetacean observation)

The following are prohibited:

• Underwater fishing.
  Use of jet skis or jet skis and similar means, practice of water skiing and similar water sports.

Zone D: Experimental Reserve

Zone C activities are allowed.
It is also allowed:

• Navigation by boats and vessels not exceeding 20 knots.
  They are prohibited.
